Match Dates and Times

First Saturday of each month, April to November. Registration opens at 9:00 AM and closes at 11:00 AM. Shooting begins when the stages are set up (nominally around 10 AM) and continues until all shooting is complete.

Match will be set-up on the day of the match (Saturday) between 7AM and 10AM. Shooters are encouraged to assist with match setup, officiating, and teardown, as ours is a sport dependant on volunteers. No shooters willing to pitch-in can result in no matches being held!

Entry Fees

Entry fee is $16. Shooters who are shooting in their first-ever IPSC match shoot for only $5.

Shooters may shoot the USPSA Classifier stage more than once (time and resources permitting), paying $4 per reshoot. We do not allow shooters to shoot only the Classifier, except that those who have paid the entry fee for one Class (Open or Limited) may reshoot the Classifier in the other Class for the reshoot fee.

Match Description

Matches are to be run under the auspices and rules of the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA), the US region of the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC). These matches involve the use of handguns of caliber .38/9mm and up in courses of fire which involve drawing from the holster; shooting paper and steel targets while moving and dealing with walls, barricades, and other obstructions and props; reloading under time constraints; and solving the shooting problem presented.

Some general program rules and guidelines can be found in our General Guidelines handout. Our basic Promotional Flyer is a two-page summary of the USPSA/IPSC program in Circleville.  (Adobe PDF Reader required to view this file!).

Each monthly match will consists of four or more courses of fire, one of which will be a USPSA Classifier Stage. As an example, here's a typical course of fire,  Dinah Moe Humm 2 (Adobe Reader required to view this file!).Typically, each course of fire will require from six (6) to twenty eight (28) rounds to complete. We attempt to plan a match requiring at least 100 rounds to complete.

Safety is the Number One Concern at USPSA/IPSC matches. Each competitor will be given a copy of our Safety Guidelines (Adobe PDF Reader required to view this file!), and all USPSA/IPSC safety rules will be enforced. During IPSC matches, we observe a cold range policy: no individual (except for law enforcement officers on duty in their jurisdiction) is permitted to have a loaded firearm in the area of the competition other than during a course of fire under the direction of a Range Officer. All competitors and visitors/observers are required to wear appropriate eye and ear protection during the match period.

Membership in PCSI or USPSA is not required in order to participate: all safe shooters are welcome to shoot.
